DIY Oil Change Tips for Beginners

Just did my first DIY oil change and wanted to share some tips for others trying it for the first time:

1. Make sure you have the right oil weight for your vehicle
2. Warm up the engine for 5 minutes before draining (helps oil flow better)
3. Use a proper jack and jack stands - safety first!
4. Don't over-tighten the drain plug
5. Use a funnel to avoid spills when adding new oil

Saved about $50 compared to a shop. Total cost was around $35 for supplies.

Pro tip: use an oil filter wrench if your filter is on tight. Don't want to strip it!
